The Pico Compressor Stereo Edition is Offered as A Bare Circuit Board

This is the Pico Compressor II based on the original design with many added features. Like it's predecessor, the Pico II features the smooth-sounding THAT4301 Analog Engine® dynamics processors which include both a high-quality Blackmer® VCA and natural-sounding RMS detector.

The Pico Compressor II provides both gentle "soft knee" or "hard knee" responses along with RMS, peak-like timings, and new program-adaptive "Auto" attack-release circuitry.

New to the Pico Compressor II are balanced inputs and outputs using the THAT1206 InGenius
® (or THAT1246) line receiver and THAT1646 OutSmarts® driver
. The 1646's high current differential outputs can also be used to directly drive output transformers.

Also new to the Pico Compressor II are an Auto Attack-Release circuit using a "non-linear capacitor." This circuit acts like a large capacitor for small level changes and small capacitor for large changes making the Pico Compressor truly program-adaptive.

For retro builds using mechanical Gain Reduction metering the Pico Compressor II now provides a variable gain buffer to drive analog meters.

This is a bare PC board and does not include any components. Most of the passive components can be purchased from Mouser Electronics and a bill-of-materials import tool is available within the reference pages.
